Inkjet Printable Static Cling. One of our new
product is the inkjet printable static cling. We begun coating static cling
for inkjet printers in September 2002. The inkjet static cling opens un new
interesting possibilities. Before making static cling labels was expensive
as this had to be done by professional silkscreen printing shops. But now
you can simply make your own static cling labels. We offer two types of
static cling. Please keep in mind that this is TRUE static cling NO
adhesive. The two types are clear and white. On the instruction sheet
for the static cling you will find more info about the different
applications for the clear and the white. If you are looking for removable label
to put on the inside of an car window or glass door (or for similar
application) please click here to go to the static cling instruction paper
or follow link from the main instruction page.
This film is intended for indoor use only.
If this media is to be used where steam or moisture is present then the artwork once printed must be protected with clear spray.
(We recommend Krylon Crystal Clear spray available at Wal-Mart, or Rust-Oleum available at Home Depot or similar product from other source)
Printing:
1) Copy/Print on to the coated side of the media using compatible printer.
2) To prevent a paper jam, make sure the sheet is not bent or warped or corners folded BEFORE loading. Loading by hand ONE SHEET at the time is a way to make sure it loads correctly. For this media it is important to select the correct printer driver setting. In general the transparency setting or glossy photo film setting (not paper) will work best. Depending on the Inkjet printers and ink used the label may be ready for use in as little as few minutes. In some cases you may have to allow the ink to dry for several hours or over night.
Mounting:
1) When mounting this label to any surface, clean the substrate and remove residual grease, soot or dust. This media is a static cling. It will cling to Glass, and any glossy non porous substrate such as metal wood and other substrates that have glossy finish (painted)
2) Peel the static cling GENTLY off the supporting paper in such way that you avoid stretching the media.
3) Line up your label. When the position looks correct, let the label make contact with the surface on one edge and work down the rest of the surface using your fingers. Do not use excessive pressure when working the label in this way because you may smudge the ink.
Tip: To make static cling labels for automobile windows or when you want the label to be visible from the other side of a window or glass door. Follow the steps here above with two exceptions. Note: You must be using the CLEAR (Transparent) Cling. A) Print mirror image B) Spray the whole sheet with WHITE acrylic paint when the ink is try. C) Let the paint dry. D) Follow mounting instructions here above.
Make tests before starting production for resale, using your equipment and method of printing.
For greatly improved UV resistance we recommend using Epson PHOTO type printers (or
similar types from HP or other manufacturers that use UV resistant ink.
