Our soft formula color
laser water slide decal paper is specifically designed to work with slightly
curved substrates. This softer more forgiving
film can be made even more workable by applying mild heat with a heat gun or
even a domestic hair dryer. This allows for the placement of water slide
decals on substrates previously difficult to decorate using traditional
water slide decal papers.
PASN Soft Laser Water Slide Decal Paper
Water slide decals are basically a very thin clear film which
has been printed on using your printer, and gives the item being decorated
the look of a painted on decoration, as opposed to the sticker look often
associated with peel and stick decoration. Our soft formula color laser
water slide decal paper allows water slide decals to be placed on surfaces
and items that are slightly curved. Normal water slide decal paper is
typically only usable with a flat surface. Our PASN features a slightly
thicker, softer, more flexible formula making it more forgiving of curved
surface. When applying decals to any curved surface, even when using this
decal paper we highly recommend the use of a ~Decal Mounting Fluid~ to
lubricate the surface the decal is being applied to. This makes the decal
easier to reposition and less likely to stretch, warp, or rip while being
applied. Another thing to note is that the larger the decal, the more
essential mounting fluid is to the application process. Another handy
application tool is a ~Rubber Decal Squeegee~ which makes the removal of
excess water/mounting fluid and air bubbles from between the decal film and
the surface of your substrate a snap. Please note that while this special
soft formula laser water slide decal paper makes it much easier to place
decals onto curved substrates, heavily curved, dimpled, or textured surfaces
typically will not work with any water slide decal paper. If your substrate
is flat, you may like our normal ~Color Laser Water Slide Decal Paper~
better, though this paper works equally well for flat surfaces.
Our soft water slide decal paper allows for you to create water slide decals
which apply more easily to slightly curved surfaces with less chance of
stretching, tearing, or warping. Water slide decals are typically only
applied to flat surfaces due to these difficulties, but our softer, slightly
thicker, more flexible formula allows for water slide decals to be placed on
surfaces previously unmanageable. While it is important to note that even
this special formula decal paper will not be compatible with heavily curved,
dimpled, or textured surfaces, you will find it far easier to apply than
normal decal paper. We offer two accessory products which make the
application of water slide decals to difficult substrates even easier. Our
~Decal Mounting Fluid~ is a lubricant which allows your decal to be
repositioned and helps prevent stretching or ripping. Our ~Rubber Decal
Squeegee~ lets you remove all of the excess water/mounting fluid and any
trapped air bubbles between the water slide decal and the surface which you
are decorating. If the item you are planning on decorating is flat, you can
use our PAS4 ~Color Laser Water Slide Decal Paper~ instead of this media,
although our PASN will also work on flat surfaces. To create water slide
decals with a white background see our new ~White Color Laser Water Slide
Decal Paper~, a white background is essential when working with dark
substrates.
To make application even easier we recommend our ~Decal Mounting Fluid~ to
lubricate the surface of the item to be decorated, allowing the decal to be
more easily repositioned. Another essential tool for properly applying
decals is a ~Rubber Decal Squeegee~ which allows for the complete removal of
any excess water/mounting fluid and air bubbles trapped between the decal
film and the surface of your item. If your item is a flat surface, and you
desire a thinner film see our PAS4 ~Color Laser Water Slide Decal Paper~,
however, this media will work on flat surfaces just as well as on curved
substrates. If the surface you plan on decorating is not white, or a similar
light color you may need our ~White Laser Water Slide Decal Paper~ to
provide a white background to give contrast to the colors of your decal.
